Riva1920 presents this maxi installation by Karim Rashid at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in April 2014. It is an extra large head made of solid American walnut wood coming from controlled and programmed cutting areas (dimensions: 3 meters high, 2.40 meters wide and 2 meters deep weighing 7,000 kilograms). This production involved the use of 30 cubic meters of wood, worked and assembled only with vinyl adhesives without formaldehyde and finished with natural oil. Globalove represents for Karim Rashid the gateway to the Riva1920 world. "Riva has realized my vision on a large scale by creating an experience in which to immerse yourself in 360 degrees. The omnidirectional profile represents the universe itself of the individual: global, multicultural, creative, connected, to the conquest of love and intelligence. I am a citizen of global society, a society in which there are no boundaries, prejudices, class or race differences. We all started as one and will return to be one day not far away" (Karim Rashid)
