Hikaru Mori
After earning a postgraduate master's degree from the University of Fine Arts in Tokyo in 1991, he moved to Milan, where he began working in design, architecture, and landscape. His approach embraces a fluid vision of architecture, blurring boundaries and creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior—an architecture integrated with both humans and the environment.
In 1996, together with Maurizio Zito, he founded ZITOMORI, a design unit based in Milan and Avellino, Italy. ZITOMORI’s goal is to give form to a vision, approaching each project with its unique complexity and providing integrated solutions for design, architecture, and territorial projects. Each project is considered unique, and through a process of dialogue, research, and analysis, the firm seeks to achieve a specific and tangible experimental design within contemporary architecture.
Among the design projects, many of which are product systems bordering on architecture, notable works include: Adam for Lucitalia, Stone Likes Water for Piba Marmi, and the Iota and Carmencita lamps for Nemo.
Significant architectural projects include: Masseto (Winery), Feudi di San Gregorio (Winery), Vigna La Corte (Tourist Complex), Parco Fluviale delle Sorgenti di Controne (Riverside Park), and Padiglione Irpinia for Milan Expo 2015.
