Pininfarina

Pininfarina Extra is part of Pininfarina, an internationally recognized design house whose history began in 1930 when it was founded by Battista Pinin-Farina, who became the most renowned car designer of his time. The Cisitalia 202 (1947), for example, was the first and only car to be included in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York in 1961. Additionally, to this day, more than 100 Ferrari models that have gone into production were designed by Pininfarina. In 1986, the third generation of the Pininfarina family founded Pininfarina Extra Srl to extend the company’s expertise beyond the automotive sector. Today, the company operates in multiple industries, with Pininfarina-designed products establishing a strong presence in major global markets. The company aims to blend the most advanced aspects of scientific, technological, and engineering research with the aesthetic dimension of products used in everyday life. Its main areas of activity include Industrial Design (electronics, sports equipment, furniture, tools and machinery, consumer goods, graphic design, and packaging), Architecture and Interiors (residential projects, hospitality, sports, and commercial facilities), and Transportation Design (yachts, airplanes, private jets, and people movers).
