Valerio Cometti

Valerio Cometti, a mechanical engineer born in 1975, founded Valerio Cometti+V12 Design in Milan in 2005, following years of international experience. Blending the sensitivity of a creative with the vision of an engineer, Cometti leads a team of designers who collaborate with iconic Italian brands such as Brionvega, Riva1920, La Cimbali, Ferrari, Tinexta Group, and Bertazzoni, as well as major international players like Midea and AMS-Osram. His studio also partners with innovative start-ups seeking to enhance and maximize the value of their assets. Valerio Cometti+V12 Design operates across the entire spectrum of creativity: from designing innovative products to developing engaging brands, creating unique services, and crafting creative strategies that support new business models. Cross-pollination is at the heart of Cometti’s approach. His team works daily across diverse industries, including consumer electronics, automotive, furniture design, food and beverage, e-commerce, and luxury eyewear. In 2021, Valerio Cometti and the V12 Design team expanded their creative consultancy into new frontiers, turning their gaze to the cosmos with the launch of www.v12design.space. Valerio Cometti’s creative journey has been recognized with numerous prestigious design awards, including the Red Dot Award, Good Design Award, iF Design Award, an Honourable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro International, and inclusion in the ADI Design Index. In addition to his design work, Valerio frequently delivers talks, workshops, and seminars on business and creativity at leading companies and universities. In September 2021, he was a speaker at TEDx Bergamo.
