Paolo Piva beschreibt sein für das Projekt „Tra le Briccole di Venezia“ realisiertes Werk so: Laguna, so heißt mein Projekt für die Initiative Riva1920, mit dem die Poesie dieser Briccole wieder zurückgebracht werden soll, indem sie ihrem natürlichen Raum zurückgegeben werden. Eine Projekt für Venedig und seine Lagune, das versucht, diese stille Präsenz in Glas zu isolieren und ihre flüchtige und antike Realität zu feiern.
