Solid wood, veneered plywood, and veneered blockboard—the pillars of our production—are sourced exclusively from certified forests and through carefully controlled and planned harvesting. For every tree felled, new ones are planted, closing the cycle of life with a gesture of respect for the environment.

But we don’t stop there. Our mission also includes the recovery and repurposing of rare and precious woods, such as ancient Kauri, Venice’s Briccole, Lebanese Cedar, and Barrique. These materials, already rich in history and meaning, are given a second life by our artisans, transforming into sustainable, one-of-a-kind designer furniture.

Our furniture is built to last, combining aesthetics and functionality. Solid wood, used for tabletops, bases, and drawers, is synonymous with strength and durability. Traditional dovetail joints ensure both structural stability and refined craftsmanship.

Even the hidden details reflect our commitment to quality: back panels and side supports are made from veneered plywood or veneered blockboard reinforced with Italian poplar, sourced from sustainable plantations in Piedmont and Lower Lombardy. Thanks to its fast growth cycle (approximately 7-10 years), poplar is an easily renewable raw material, aligning with our sustainability mission.

The health and well-being of our customers are a priority. That’s why we use only formaldehyde-free vinyl glues, ensuring a safe, non-toxic, and eco-friendly production process. Our furniture finishes are exclusively made with natural oils and vegetable-based waxes, providing an authentic, healthy, and completely natural product.

Every Riva1920 piece is the result of a seamless blend between traditional woodworking and cutting-edge technology.
