Paolo Piva décrit son travail réalisé dans le cadre du projet « Parmi les Briccole de Venise" de la manière suivante : Laguna est le nom de mon projet pour l'initiative Riva1920, qui vise à retrouver la poésie de ces briccole en les replaçant dans leur environnement naturel. Un projet consacré à Venise et à sa lagune qui cherche à isoler cette présence silencieuse dans le verre, en célébrant sa réalité éphémère et ancienne.
