FRANCIS KÉRÉ

Francis Kéré is a German-trained architect from Burkina Faso. He is the founder of Kéré Architecture, a Berlin-based firm whose focus is to develop innovative construction by integrating traditional building techniques and materials with modern engineering methods. Kéré’s community-focused projects have won international acclaim with awards including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, the BSI Swiss Architectural Award, the Global Holcim Award and the Schelling Architecture Prize.
